Snowshoe to High Hut/MTTA

We have changed this snowshoe destination.  We will now snowshoe to High Hut in MTTA south district.    If you need to change your RSVP we will understand.  This is a more difficult snowshoe.  We will need one more vehicle with snowpark pass, to ensure everyone gets to the trailhead.  The road into the trailhead can be difficult, so be prepared to put on chains.

10 miles round trip/2400' of elevation gain

Be prepared for anything.

PLEASE: Remember to read the discussion posting on guidelines and again, if you RSVP, state that you have read and will abide by them.  As always, bring cash for driver, plastic bag for snowshoes/boots, extra pr of shoes for ride home. Bring your sense of humor and adventure.  We are all about getting out there, experiencing a new place, being with others who love the outdoors and having fun. We are not fast but we do make our goal.

Maryjane and I are also snowshoeing Mazama Ridge on Sat if the weather allows.... Anyone who is interested is welcome to join... If the weather is crappy at Rainier we might do Gold Creek or Commonwealth Basin off I90 but we are hoping for Mazama Ridge.

Lorri, good idea about Mowich. We tried to post it earlier but had to change. Will keep it in mind.
We will need another car to drive with pass. Anyone willing and how many can you take?

I have read and will abide by the rules but ummm do I really have to bring my sense of humor, it takes up too much space in my pack... :-)

Talked to Rainier ranger on Sunday. Rampart isn't flagged and due to new snow this week, may not have tracks to follow.
Thought we would try Cabin Creek this time and perhaps, High Hut next time.
Feel free to suggest snowshoe trails that we can try.
