Ipsut Pass/Really Big Tree (s)/Eunice Lk/Tolmie Lookout Mowich/MRNP

Last minute decision to post this.  I have tried to get to Ipsut Pass/Really big tree a couple times. Weather got in the way. SO, I am going this Sat and invite you to join me on that hike and continue to the lake and Tolmie. There may be snow so bring your traction devises.

Mileage:7.8 RT  (includes side trip to Pass and up to Tolmie)
   Elevation gain: 1120'  (Tolmie trail)
unknown but steep (the trail from junction to Pass/tree) This part is only 1.6mile RT
    Parks pass needed per car.

Directions:  Take 410 to Loss Mundy road.  Turn right and follow to T in road.  Turn left (hwy 165 ) and follow to where the road splits-left goes to Carbon entrance and right goes to Mowich, where we want to go.

As always, have cash for driver, full tank of gas, if driving, 10 essentials, bag for dirty boots, extra shoes for ride home.  Bring your sense of adventure and humor.
Please read the discussion board about our policies.  Then if you RSVP, state that you have read them and will abide by them. Thanks.
If you have read our policies, you know we don't need to know you aren't joining us. So, only yes responses, please. +-+

Sunny, cloudless day. Views from Tolmie were awesome. Eunice lake was so clear. Trail has very little snow-snow around perimeter of lake. Trail down to THE TREE was steep-views were spectacular. Tree, not so much. Hike back up that canyon was a beast. Check that off the list!!! Thanks, Richard, for a great day.

Thanks, Paul for the info. Since I am only going by the guidebook, I like the fact that it's really old too!! Sorry you can't make the hike. See you on Sunday' hike.

Don't think I can make this, but thought I'd mention that it's more old a REALLY old tree (2,000 y.o.+) than a really big tree :)
