This group is sponsored by Shades of Color NYC, click on the website name to find out more.

Meet with other biracial and multiracial individuals to network and share the unique experiences that come along with having a multiethnic background.

All combos are welcome including individuals interested in people of mixed race, multicultural and interracial relations, and human rights.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting this group's former Organizer (as of Wednesday April 2, 2014, this Meetup is under new leadership); I'm very exciting about moving this network forward and incorporating my ideas and yours.

Community discussions will be pivotal in helping to crystallize our mission. Taking over a group is one of the hardest things to do as an Organizer. I've always been intrigued by this Meetup so the risk is worth the reward.

Our group logo is a statue that is featured on five continents. It represents multiculturalism, diversity and human rights. Fittingly, the monument depicts a multiracial man surrounded by doves which are a universal symbol of peace.

All those who are proponents of multiculturalism, human rights, interracial relations and equality are welcome.

Feel free to join any of our affiliated Meetups. If you're into health and fitness we recommend joining, Alcohol Free Socials, Meditation, Fitness & Random Events. If you're a fan of interracial relations in general, consider joining International, Multicultural & Interracial Socials NYC. We also feature community discussions, go to our Discussions page to listen to previous recordings.

Shades of Color NYC is also the sponsor of three other multicultural and diversity themed networks, Educated Multicultural Socials, Bachelors and Beyond NYC. We were planning to launch this group on Meetup, but ended up acquiring Mixed, Multicultural, Multiethnic & Interracial Socils NYC instead. Click on the Facebook group page name to find out more. We've posted the group's image bellow:

We also sponsor Straight, Gay, Black or White, Rainbow Bright NYC Socials, and an interracial network with a twist, SOC Interracial Professional After Work and Nightlife Socials. both formerly posted on Meetup's platform, respectively. You can click on the group names as indicated above to find out more:
