Foodie Tour of the World: Afghan Edition

One of the best ways to get to know a different culture is to try their cuisine and enjoy it just as locals do. Why don't we channel the Anthony Bourdain in us and treat ourselves to delicious Afghan food?  Besides, the Helman Palace has excellent reviews, we'll most likely end up thanking ourselves for the experience.

Check out their menu: http://helmandpalace.net/menu/

As part of the Foodie Tour, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. There's a $2 fee to RSVP to our Foodie Tour of the World series. This fee helps ensure that people who RSVP "yes" are committed to come, and goes to help offset the monthly organizer fee so our group can stay afloat. If you change your RSVP to "no", please note we cannot offer a refund.

2. RSVP limit is relatively small for us to acquaint easily, as well as for ease of restaurant reservations and wait times.

3. Please bring cash so it's easier to split the bill. Depending on the group consensus, we can either split family style or pay separately.

4. Although Afghan food is primarily meat, they also have good selection of Vegetarian dishes.

"Meals hold the fabric of society together in lots of ways that are charming, interesting and intoxicating." Anthony Bourdain
