Let's try the old favorite. Biking from Sellwood to the end of the paved trail at Rott Road, turn around and head to Gresham for bagel or indian food. For those who might want a few miles shorter, you can break off at Gresham and wait in the park or get your order in at the restaurant. This will be a slower social ride--probably an average of 10 to 12. If some of you want to return at the Mt. Scott turn around, that's okay, too. Just good to be out with some of our favorite riders on a favorite trail.
I'm a little unsure of distance, but will try to check and post it soon.
On it's website, there is no mileage marker at Sellwood Riverfront Park, but I'm estimating that it's at the 4 mile mark. For those of you who may not want to go the whole distance with us, the Food Carts are at just before the 9 mile marker--so turning at the food carts where you could have morning coffee and there are restrooms, would give you a ten mile ride. Powell Butte trail is after mileage marker 11 so a round trip from there would be 14 miles. Main City Park, Gresham is at mileage marker 16 so round trip from there would be 24 miles. Rugg Road is at mile marker 19 so a round trip from there would be 30 miles.
Some of us will go to Rugg Road and turn around to get a bite to eat off the Main City Park in Gresham. Those of you who might prefer to do other distances, you are welcome to do so. At the start, we'll ask people to identify the distance they'd like to go and to attempt to find a partner to stay with them. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
