The vision of turning the WWW into a Web of structured, linked data is getting substantial traction in real-world business scenarios and may significantly simplify data fusion, data reuse, search, EAI, and technical solutions for knowledge management. In the realm of e-commerce, the GoodRelations vocabulary (http://purl.org/goodr..., which was developed at the Universität der Bundeswehr in Munich, has been adopted by Yahoo, Google, O'Reilly, BestBuy, OpenLink Software, and many others.
With this new Semantic Web Meetup series, we want to open up a forum for interested individuals from industry and academia in the greater Munich area.
Organization and Meetings:
Instead of single, longer presentation, we will have an open forum for short presentations, demos, arguments, opportunities, and observations. Everybody is invited to present short talks (1... 10 slides) in an ad-hoc manner. No pure advertisement, please.
