Your Projects

  • Sep 8, 2014 · 7:00 PM

In the first meetups, we discussed some general overview on Arduino. Let's come back to our own Arduino projects next.

If you can, prepare 5 slides or a demo of your project with you. Within 5-10 minutes of lightning talks, show why your project needs Arduino, what problems that you have solved, or what you find difficult. In a second round, we can then try to make groups and work on the projects.

Sorry, would have liked to join, but I won't make it on time.

I am asking the organizers of http://www.meetup.com... - maybe to have a special meetup to make it easier for girls to join the group

Hi Patrick, that was not the issue, I just had a deadline at work. Next time I hope I can join - females or no females

Thanks everyone for joining. It was a great meeting :)
Since a couple of people asked: joining MCSM (10Euro/month) is possible, just contact me for more info.

Thanks all for your participation yesterday. The overview on the Arduino projects was very fun. If you post a link to your project, I'll put it up on munich-arduino.divshot.io

Any feedback welcome, how the setup of the meetup with talks/interactions was, location, or topics for the meetup. I took out, that we could do a round on bluetooth based projects, robotics and music/sound.

I won't be able to present my CNC for a very good reason: it's not finished at all (all the mechanical parts broke down yesterday while I was trying to assemble them...)!

I can't join tonight - our Mr Beam project keeps me busy.
    Have fun!

Following the RedPitaya demo, I've investigated a bit on low-cost scopes and logic sniffers. Here is a spreadsheet comparing some products:

    https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=rmNr4Eeren8jBG7MXfHYxsQ&output=html

I found the "Bus Pirate" and the "Open Workbench Logic Sniffer" to be interesting, as they are very low cost (27$ / 50$) and quite capable.

The pirate can analyze the usual protocols (i2c, spi etc.), and the workbench even goes up to 200Msps!

I would have loved to have something that plugs into an iPad, but I didn't find any good ones - bandwidth is usually low.

this is very interesting too. it would make a nice blog post, such that others could easily look it up when needed. we can chat about this next week too

have not properly tested it yet but the sample rate seems quite good.

I added some information how to find MCSM: http://mcsm.divshot.io/location/ - I am working on a small static website for Munich Arduino meetup too.

I shifted my project to another processor – it was too ambitious for Arduino.
I have a few components which can be used elsewhere and I am curious what other projects are possible. Anyone working with sound/microphone?
    C U there.

    • Patrick M.

hi felix! welcome in the hacking round. so, far, i haven't seen any midi/music/speech projects in the group. some people expressed their interest, but http://hackaday.io/ha... who is more around at FabLab might be nice to talk to

I could tell something about my PCB production experiment from last month: http://blog.farsinotare.com/2014/07/30/beyond-the-breadboard/

Yes please! I'm very interested in how to use Eagle and export Gerber files so services like OSHPark can use them. Also any experience with low-cost european fabrication services is welcome, as handling customs can be a pain in the ass.

      August 11, 2014

    • Patrick M.

on the topic of self-etching PCBs, I saw this how-to today (in german) http://johannes-maser... - the same guy blogs about Red Pitaya and other things, maybe interesting

I could tell something about my Raspberry Pi car and why I will extend the car with an Arduino - But how? Maybe we can discuss This question? This is my project homepage: http://www.byteyourlife.com/category/raspberry-pi-ferngesteuertes-auto Auf few slides and a live demo is no problem.

Hi, I'm not technical, but I have been working for/with Red Hat several years and I'm very interested in Arduino. I wouldn't have a project to share. Can I still join to learn more about Arduino?

    2 · August 17, 2014

    • RobsyRocket

I think everyone should join to spread ideas and share knowledge about every topic he want to talk. Maybe you can help in a project or get ideas for your own.

      August 17, 2014

    • Patrick M.

yes, please join! many projects are just starting, also have a look at kickstarter.com or hackaday.com to see what is going on in the context of open-source hardware!

I could tell something about my Nunchuck, Arduino, realtime and fullstack JavaScript App, using Meteor.js (incl. MongoDB)

    3 · August 11, 2014

  • Laurent M.

If you have chance, I maybe can do a talk (with French accent) on my CNC which could be finished for the next meetup ! Interested ?

    2 · August 6, 2014

    • Patrick M.

Thanks, that would be very nice. Maybe just some words about your idea, why the project is interesting for others, and what problems do you see (have solved). If we could have 2-3 talks like this, and then demo time, that might be great!

      1 · August 9, 2014

    • Laurent M.

Problem that I solve may be much shorter than the problem that I've to solve but I like the idea of something short clear with demo. I'll see what I can do :)
