Excellent. Everyone considered all opinions thoughfully, with very constructive conversations and feedback. Good discussion around: the current Shermer - Krauss issues; intolerance on the part of Skeptics themselves; the possibility of capturing the "image" of an electron; a side discussion on vaccination. Simon showed up for the first time and was a new contributer to the conversation. And Juri showed up 3 minutes before we wrapped it all up at 11.00pm. Had he been there earlier, it would have been just THAT much better. We had a very good time on Monday.

Very nice skeptics all around who know what they're doing and what they're talking about.

Hey everyone, did anyone watch the BBC coverage of the "block bot"? And the accusations against Michael Shermer, Lawrence Krauss and co? Or would this be off topic here (A+, FTB, Skepchick)?Cheers.

I did not watch the BBC report (only some YouTube videos about it), but I have a strong feeling, that Claudia and myself will be in disagreement about everything concerning that issue. Let's see if we can have a civilized discussion about that topic... or rather discuss something less controversial, like religion :-)

Could you post a youtube link or something? my quick mobile google search didn't really yield much. And what fun would noncontroversial discussions be? ;-)
I'm at work, therefore I don't have the time to give you links, but I have thrown some relevant search terms into G00gle: http://tinyurl.com/lm... -- just pick some of the search results yourself (I don't want to be accused of cherry picking). For YouTube: maybe the same results work; I also like the video made by Thunderf00t about the topic, but I guess Rebecca 'Elevatorgate' Watson might have something about it, so check her channel the hear the 'other side' as well.
Ah, thanks ... those search terms are slightly more controversial than ways to get spiders off your homepage ;).
