Ever wondered how you would do on a medieval battlefield? Do you use sticks as impromptu swords? Or do you just want to get some exercise with friends in a fun and furious way?
Join us once again (or for the first time) this Sunday 30/6 at 11am in Englischer Garten on the lawn south-west of the lake (http://goo.gl/maps/wohjc) for more fun with padded swords. And shields, flail, and bow and arrows! No equipment of your own is necessary, but for clothes that may get dirty and the willingness to try your mettle on the field. However, ankle-supporting boots, leather gloves, knee pads, and plenty of water all good things to bring.
What is Belegarth, you may ask? It's full-speed, full-contact, free-form medieval combat using heavily padded swords, shields, flails, etc. The rules are simple, the weapons are safe, and the experience is the closest you'll get to being on in an actual battlefield of the Dark Ages. Anyone can join, no experience nor armor needed. I have about 20 swords, 2 shields, a flail, and bow and arrow available, but any number of people can join, the more the merrier.
Note that this even is cross-invited with on Toytown and as a Google+ event.
