I graduated from college in 2007 with a degree in History and Anthropology. It was while working in Archaeology that I first began to truely doubt my faith. I was working on Neanderthal remains and their collection and saw their love and care for each other in their groups. Burial and compassion, yet according to the Bible that wasn't a "human". From then on I began to look into the alternative views, and the more I found my beliefs crumbling. I became entranced with the debates by Hitchens, Harris, and Dawkins. To this day, I find that I have become more open in how I see myself, and it has greatly helped me free my shackles of religion. I am the ONLY Atheist in my family and that is something that has not sat well with them. But my life is my own, I will not be forced to believe others, and want to do all I can to prevent others from being forced to stay with it or to be forcefully taught what defies reason.
Either is great for me!
Hi there! I am an atheist who is looking to find others like me to chat with and discuss those things we find important...free thought! I graduated from Alabama in 07 and was raised in a Christian family. I look forward to meeting everyone!
