Hello Museum Musers,
The TTWalks group is sharing this Sunday's sustainability museum with the Museum Musers. Because there is a limit of only 10 people, and this event is currently already full, and waiting for availability confirmations, I've opened the option for a waiting list for next year's tour.
Please CONFIRM your availability, if you signed up for this Sunday’s (12/9/12) sustainability home and museum walk and tour, or you’d like to have the first choice on a waiting list for attending a future tour in 2013. Please email or call me to confirm your availability for this event no later than this Friday (12/7/12), and I’ll send a confirmation email to each of you on Saturday morning (12/8/12).
Waiting List; Even though this event is currently full, you can RSVP to get on the waiting list in case someone cancels, and you'll have first choice for a future tour next year:
Will you change your mind if there’s snow? This Sunday’s weather forecast has a 30% chance of snow. If you think the snow will keep you from coming, please cancel your RSVP. If you’re interested, please leave a comment with your canceled RSVP that you’d like to be put on the waiting list for the next tour in 2013.
Would you like an early Chinese lunch together near the event location? If you’d like to meet for an early lunch before our walk and tour from Steven Steven’s home and museum, you’re invited to meet Fran, Richard and Beverly at 11:00 AM at the New Panda Chinese Restaurant at 17732 South Golden Road, Golden, CO 80401. Here’s a Google map link to this restaurant’s location. I’ll be wearing my Meetup nametag for people we’re meeting for the first time.
Conserving Personal Time: Our tour host Steven Stevens, retired Bell Labs engineer, in addition to cost-effectively designing a negative-carbon footprint home and museum, is especially good at conserving his personal time. One real-life example of this is that he keeps his home and museum clean with only a few hours once a year of cleaning time. How? Steven asks everyone who visits his home and museum to take off their shoes in the cozy front entry area where shoes are left, and to close the outdoor door before opening the inner front door to enter his home and museum. Wish I could build that option for our home.
Getting the most out of our time with Steve’s: Steven encourages us to spend our time with him, using our questions to discover and explore everything he can teach us about how to benefit from his knowledge and experience with creating a sustainable energy home and life-style.
We are so very fortunate that Steven has offered to share his time with our group this year, and possibly one more time next year.
Please CONFIRM your availability for this Sunday’s limit of 10 participants in order for me to send you a Confirmation Email this Saturday morning.
I’m looking forward to your response.
