Many of our members have mentioned immigration museums as a good option for a future meetup. Therefore, I have arranged for a one hour private tour of the Tenement Museum. We will take the "Hard Times Tour" which will last one hour in length. Below is a description of the tour as outlined on the website :http://www.tenement.org/tours.php.
Discover how immigrants survived economic depressions at 97 Orchard Street
between 1863 and 1935. Visit the restored homes of the German-Jewish Gumpertz
family, whose patriarch disappeared during the Panic of 1873, and the
Italian-Catholic Baldizzi family, who lived through the Great Depression.
