Free Mushroom Growing Workshop

Sliding scale: $0 to $20 if you'd like to help offset my costs. Absolutely no payment is required.

We will be "planting" mushroom spawn (Oysters and Shiitake) into logs. If you'd like, for each two logs you complete, you can take one home to enjoy yourself.

What you should probably bring: water, gloves, comfortable clothing outdoor work.
Children that can use a hammer can help out too.
Come for one session or multiple! You're welcome to stop by just to watch too!

If possible, let me know you're coming so I can plan materials accordingly.

Will there be an other mushroom growing workshop in the future?

If anyone would like scanned copies of the mushroom inoculation instructions that we followed or other information (like where I got the materials), please message me your email address.

If you took a log, definitely send your email address so we can track the yield!

Thank you everyone, the workshop was an overwhelming success :)

I'm so glad that your doing this and, if I didn't drive myself from NYC late last night, I'd attend. It sounds like a great activity. Have fun and I hope to attend one at another time.

should I bring a hammer, drill, saw...?

If you've got a hammer, bring it. A drill and wood bits, bring it. Only bring a saw if it's gas/electric powered (we've got the other kinds)
