Moises Borges - Music of Brasil / Nighttown

Moises Borges is a self taught acoust-electric guitarrist and singer born in Brazil, who has become a prolific performer on the Northeast Ohio scene in recent years.  Influences are from his home musical state Bahia and its great blend. He grew experimenting with rhythms such as bolero, baiao, xote, afoxe, frevo, forro, and especially samba and bossa nova which are basic to his performances, Borges plays in the Bossa Nova tradition interpreting classics by Jobim, Gilberto, and many others. Borges is dedicated to broadening the audience for Brazilian Music by performing solo and with his band.

Don't miss this gifted vocalist and guitarist, this far away from his native Brazil the music of his homeland is very much alive when he is on stage, it should be a fun filled night.

Arrive from 7 to 8 p.m. and order Prime Rib, a Dublin Lawyer or maybe a Bloom's Burger smothered in grilled mushrooms! – eat before or during show or just enjoy dessert or a drink.

When you RSVP your name will be added to the VIP List for prime seating right up front.  Our VIP list will be held at the door. Remember to bring cash to pay the $10.00 admission fee. When you RSVP you will be asked to provide a phone number and email just in the event that we need to communicate with you quickly.  Both are, of course, considered confidential.  Then your name will be added to the VIP list!

If you are not at Nighttown by 10 minutes before the show, your reservation may be given away to others waiting for a seat. If we know that you’ll arrive late, we will do our best to hold a seat for you. But keep in mind that his latest event at Nighttown was almost sold out, so take your precautions to arrive early. And, we do expect you to sit with the group at our events.

PARKING:  There will be valet parking and plenty of spots on nearby side streets.  There is a municipal parking lot just west and behind the tavern with a driveway entrance on Cedar.  It is metered parking (well enforced) so bring plenty of quarters.

Moises is an amazing musician because of his technical skills, his sense of history, his desire to tell his story through his lyrics. He reminds me of the soul and spirit of Brasil that I experienced. I hope to be more involved in these meetups.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
