Upcoming Events in July

Greetings Music Lovers!

We’re having a heat wave for sure and we’ve got some hot events coming up for Music Cleveland!

First, a warm welcome to our new event organizers – Jim Edwards and Ed Ellert. They will handle hosting duties for our Blossom events on July 21 and 28. Thank you gentlemen!

We always welcome new organizers as well as suggestions of events that we might schedule. If you haven’t visited our home page in awhile, you might want to check it out today.

This coming Monday, Kristina will host an evening of Indie Rock at the famous Grog Shop with dinner before at Tommy’s on Coventry in Cleveland Heights. If you are stuck on jazz, classical or folk, this will challenge you to try something new. I think you’ll enjoy Youth Lagoon and Father John Misty. There are some videos on the event page.

Then on Friday, July 20th, we’ll head over to Cain Park’s outdoor venue for one of the hottest folk/country groups to emerge in the last few years – the Carolina Chocolate Drops. We have discount pricing and a reserved block of 20 seats for the group. We’ll be enjoying a picnic dinner and wine before the concert. Best purchase these tickets now because our seats will be released a few days before to the general public. Cain Park is a wonderful venue.

That’s a very busy weekend. We are visiting Blossom on July 21 as the Orchestra plays Mozart and we’ll be picnicking again on the lawn. RSVPs with a 20-percent discount were just opened. But that only applies to advance purchases.

Sunday, July 22, we’ll be at the Cleveland Irish Festival for a day of traditional music and Celtic rock.

On Saturday, July 28th its back to Blossom for Beethoven’s Fifth. Then on Sunday, July 29th we’ll convene at the Italian Cultural Garden for opera and it’s free. The organizer recently announced that complementary Italian wine will also be served. I’m suggesting that we bring our own and a special Italian-themed dish to share for a group picnic before the singing starts.

Just wanted to send along a quick note. And, I didn’t even mention August. Check our home page for more upcoming events.

And finally, don’t forget your $10 membership fee.  You can pay the organizer at your next event or use the PayPal link on our home page. This is used for the expense of our presence on and administrative costs. Organizers are not compensated. Thank you!
