Music Cleveland! Attendance Policy: One of the universal problems faced by organizers with meetup.com groups involve No-Shows or members who say they are attending an event only to be missing when the concert or dinner begins. This is especially bothersome when organizers have made restaurant reservations on the missing members’ behalf. Our group has been fairly good in the past, but it may be helpful to list our group policies for events.
First – your RSVP ‘yes’ is a firm commitment to acquire tickets and attend the event. If you are unsure about your schedule, please do not casually respond until you are able to commit and purchase tickets. This is especially important when restaurant reservations are included. Organizers make reservations on your behalf for a place at our table. And, since the establishments we frequent are small businesses, no-shows adversely impact them.
Please know that a No-Show puts your membership status in jeopardy and could result in removal from Music Cleveland! Yes, we know that plans and even the best intentions can be interrupted by life events but proper etiquette is always in order.
Please try to cancel your RSVP no later than 24-hours before the concert. For last-minute cancellations, please do two things: change your RSVP on the web page, and email the organizer directly. If extenuating circumstances prevent your participation a follow-up email to the organizer/host is appropriate.
Second - Because Music Cleveland! is a social networking and fellowship group, members attending events are expected to sit with the group when possible. Please read the posts carefully as we always give specific details about when and where to meet.
