Salamu Alaikum

This group is for Muslim women who play or want to learn to play golf, and possibly other sports such as tennis and skiing. This is a place for "never ever" beginners to more experienced golfers.

The purpose is to enjoy the game of golf and to network with other Muslimahs in the local area for athletic and social activities. Members are not required to be Muslims, but the primary focus is geared toward providing a network for Muslim women to get together and to feel comfortable getting involved in sports while they still honor their Islamic practices and beliefs.

This group is an outreach activity of Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc., the first Islamic-based sorority, whose mission is to promote a positive image for Muslim women and Islam in general.
