MUST LOVE DOGS

This is a group for dogs and people who love dogs.

And, love playing with dogs.

Whose dogs have dinner with them.

And, sleep on their bed at night.

You do not need a dog to join.

You might want to learn about dogs before getting a dog.

Or, you might no longer have dogs but would still enjoy their company.

And, overseas and interstate members are welcome.

If you love dogs you are welcome to join us.

For dog walks, dog talks, dog play dates, dog beach days, BBQs and Picnics [my dogs' favourites], . . .

And, for free talks on how to relate to and teach your dogs with kindness.

These free walks, talks, play dates and other events will be in both inner and outer suburbs.

In Melbourne and Geelong.

Both beach and bush.

So there will be something close to most members.

And, once per month we have a Playdate especially for Small Dogs.

You can bring friends, children and of course dogs to our meetups.

And, Interstate and Overseas Members are welcome.

Kind regards.

Greg.

PLAYDATES, WALKS, TALKS and DEMONSTRATIONS, BBQs and BEACH DAYS

I have had Beagles for 4 generations.

My Beagles would lie on the lounge-room couch during the day.

And, sleep on my bed at night.

My Beagles not only had dinner with me.

They went to the kitchen to supervise the preparation.

We used to walk off-lead almost every day.

And, for at least 2 hours, on most days.

So I have experience with dogs from the cradle to the grave.

At any of our events, you can always ask me anything, about dogs.

From how to feed pups to how I house-trained my Beagles in 2 days.

How to teach your dogs to come when you call.

How to show your dogs to cross roads safely.

[My adult Beagles were always off-lead.]

And, how to relax your dogs, and to get them over any fears, with back-rubs.

DOGS LIKE TO PLEASE
TEACHING YOUR DOGS WITH KINDNESS

Dogs like to please.

Indeed, most dogs I know make a point of it.

So make friends with your dogs first.

By affection, praise and play.

And, then your dogs will want to please you.

DOG TRAINERS

OFTEN USE AND TEACH EMOTIONALLY ABUSIVE METHODS

I have never met a dog trainer or dog behaviourist who I could recommend.

Most I have met, including dog "behaviourists", are ignorant of natural dog behaviour.

Naturally, dogs do not use "obedience", "dominance", "operant conditioning", intimidation, choker chains, head halters, shock collars, crates, . . .

Naturally, dogs do not use rejection on members of their own group.

Naturally, dogs do not insult other dogs' intelligence with clickers.

Naturally, dogs do not even use food rewards.

And, neither do I.

But, incompetent dog trainers and dog behaviourists do.

It usually only takes me 5 to 15 minutes to teach an off-lead dog to come when I call.

[Even dogs who will not come when their owners call.]

And, less than 2 days to house-train a dog.

I relate to dogs as one intelligent being to another.

By using friendship, understanding and co-operation - not force, rejection or conditioning.
