An informal group for people and their dogs to join together for a fun day of hiking. We meet the last Sunday of each month (unless it's a long holiday in which case an alternative Sunday will be selected). We hike in all but the most severe weather. Call the organizer if you are unsure. Most hikes are easy to moderate and last approximately 5 hours but usually a small group returns after one-two hour of hiking. We try to hike a different park each month and most hike locations allow dogs off-leash and are within a 90 minute drive of central Toronto. Many hike locations have swimming opportunities for the dogs. You are not required to bring a dog but if you don't have one, maybe Ruff next door would enjoy a day out. Your dog should enjoy the company of other dogs and people and should be under good voice command if you plan to take them off leash. We suggest you bring with you: - A friendly pup or two - Leash(s) for parking area, etc - water for you and Ruff - snacks or light lunch for both of you - Camera - Towel for Ruff - Proper foot wear for light hiking - Be prepared for weather (sun protection, rain gear, etc.)
