My Heart Beats For….Priscilla Murray As She Presents
"GARZA" , A Photo Exhibit & Short Film Screening!
This exhibit is an 18-month documentation of
Maria Jose Garza, a community activist & drag queen.
As an exile from Peru, her struggle to overcome
discrimination & abuse has inspired her journey
to give back to the community that received her.
Friday, August 13th 8pm-2am
Multimedia screening throughout the night, in addition to a live photo shoot by the one and only, Miss. Priscilla Murray herself!
Dance, drink, enjoy the action or be part of the art in the making…all are welcome. Come out and see the newly remodeled Sugar Café & Lounge!
In 2009 My Heart Beats For... hosted weekly art parties with different themes, in 2010 they have decided to change things up a bit by incorporating all of their artistically themed weekly events into a once-monthly creative experience every 2nd Friday of the month! Think of it as a grown up version of your sixth grade talent show, minus the braces and the bullies. Just like a child at a three ring circus, you’ll be completely inspired by the ever-changing art. Your imaginative mind will run wild as you are stimulated by the constant interaction with the artists and party-goers; you can network, enjoy a drink, a dance and art while contributing to your community and supporting local artists.
Want to show off your art, talent? Email a sample of your work to [masked] and we just might showcase you at one of our events, maybe even on May 14th!
Every 2nd Friday of the month, 8pm-2am
Sugar Café 685 Sutter Street, San Francisco

$10 at the door includes a drink a ticket.
