Please join us Wednesday, April 13th at 7:30pm for “Myth Telling—The Mabinogion" our next Wicca 101 class presented by our own J’Ann!
The tales of the Mabinogion are not the product of any single hand; evolving over the centuries, passed from storyteller to storyteller, until some master bard put them together around the twelfth century. Its contents draw upon the myths and history of Celtic Britain: four branches of a storyline set largely within the confines of Wales and the otherworld.
The tales create a dreamlike atmosphere and preserve much of the primitive, fascinating world of Celtic myth. They exemplify the heroic and idealistic world of Celtic literature. Many of the characters have godlike and supernatural qualities, and the boundary between the world of everyday reality and a magical Otherworld is an unstable one.
J'Ann is a librarian, a musician, and a Yoga instructor who lives in the Dallas area. She is a Third Degree High Priestess in two traditions. As an Isian High Priestess, she belongs to Circle of the Unicorn. As a McFarland Dianic, she is a member of Sacred Moon Circle and the High Priestess of Circle of the Moon White Mare. She has been involved in Wicca for most of her adult life. She has presented workshops at CoG Merry Meet, Goddess Rising and at United Earth Assembly conferences. She has Elder Credentials in CoG and has been an education point person for the Richardson Wicca 101 classes for 3 years now, where she also teaches classes.

$5.00 facility fee per person, per class is requested (No pre-registration required.) Even if you have not attended the whole series, you can start at any time. Each class is designed to stand on its own!

We will be meeting for Wicca 101 classes at Ananda Dallas Meditation and Yoga Center located at 4901 Keller Springs Road, Suite 103, Addison, TX 75001 between the Tollway and Addison Road. We will meet on the Second and Fourth Wednesday evenings of each month at the same time, 7:30 to 9:00 PM sharp!
