Food was fantastic. The wine and food could not have been better.
    •  Eroica Riesling that was paired with the Dungeness Crab Salad was definitely on the dry side not sweet at all, some fruit on the nose but a lot of mineral in the taste. I think I preferred the Riesling moreso than the crab cake, I don’t think it went well together. Chardonnay was changed to the Canoe Ridge Vineyard and went very well with the Pecan Smoked Salmon on Taro Root Tostada. This saw very little oak, maybe six to eight months, and was not noticeable for a buttery aroma, maybe just slightly. The taste was also very minerally –limestone, mostly. Cabernet from the Cold Creek Vineyard went very well with the Beef Tenderloin with Three Pepper Jus; lots of blackfruit and pepper (spices); Iron Skillet Okra (was replaced by asparagus). Free Stone Peaches (which were grilled - and pound cake - also grilled) and vanilla bean ice cream (housemade). The Reisling was not overly sweet like some dessert wines and complemented the peaches and pound cake.

As always Ann a superb meal with great people as well as learning experience with wines! Thank you.
    •  Conversation with fellow wine enthusiasts was delightful and I learned about them and some highly recommended wines that I was not aware of. As always, Cool River does an outstanding job of hosting their winemaker dinners. The food was superb (as always), staff perfectly attentive and the representative from Chateau St. Michelle so nice and informative about their wines. I was pleasantly surprised to learn some of what she shared about the winery.
