Open Tabletop RPG Day

Note: There will also be a strategy game played at a table during this event.  See comments to discuss.

A full evening focused on dice and pencil games, from OSR to Indie! Games and tables are provided for several different groups, food and drinks are a friendly pot luck, and there are several restaurants near by that deliver.

We encourage people to show up early, possibly with a game in mind. From Pathfinder to Fiasco, Exalted to Labyrinth Lord, you'll be able to find other people interested in playing just about anything under the sun.

Note: Doors open at 5pm with an eye toward play starting around 6pm. We are able to open earlier as we get a feel for this new addition to the regular event schedule. Like every other open NAGA event, this is participatory, so feel free to suggest and put forward ideas. Current planned games include Pathfinder, Classic D&D, Mummy the Curse and Exalted.

A fifth of Duel of Ages followed by a Dominion chaser. What could be better?

Thanks again. Sorry for leaving early but I had to get up early this morning. Did the white team rule?

Yeah, I added that last night and could not remember the name of the game. Sarah was sound asleep.

I am very interested in this strategy game, but I have a department thingy - I'll try to get there around 6:45-7 if that is ok.

I'm a big fan of roll playing games. I used to work for Decipher Inc. in college I was designing my own table top roll playing game.

Sounds neat! We've play tested several games, feel free to bring it.

Were you there after they ate Last Unicorn? I've always been kind of curious why the Trek RPG changed systems when it seemed like Decipher brought everything, including people, over. There are a bunch of possible reasons that all make sense, I'm just curious as to what the thinking was.

    Does anyone ever play Pathfinder?

I would really love to find a group to play pathfinder with. I just did the Pathfinder Demos at Pax Prime. If anyone has a game and doesn't mind a new person I would live to play.

Martin shows up fairly often, and he's the local Pathfinder Society Captain (the regional leader; apologies if I have the title wrong). If you're interested in forming a new Pathfinder group, that's specifically what this game night was originally invented: gamers meeting other gamers and forming RPG groups. Plus a place to play that's a little more social.
