Nashville Unveiled - Enraged is a once a month live action roleplaying game in Nashville, Tennessee. The players take on the roles of werewolves or their wolf-blooded kin that inhabit a fictional version of the modern day world. We create stories set in the World of Darkness (a fictional fantasy universe created by White Wolf Publishing and owned by The Onyx Path Publishing). It is basically the current world with a subtle and supernatural twist. Think "X Files" or "Fringe" meets " Supernatural" or "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," only the stories are usually told from the perspective of the supernatural inhabitants of the world.
New Players are welcome. No experience needed: we'll help you get started. We're a friendly and open group. Some level of costume is fairly common, but certainly not required. While the event begins at 1pm, the doors open at 12pm (noon), and it is recommended you arrive early to prepare your character.
Live Action Roleplaying is similar to a murder mystery dinner party. It is a cross between improvisational theater and a board game. Players in the group create a character that they will play out over many games, developing their character and his or her relationship to the other characters.
Characters move around in a given area and interact socially with each other, sometimes with props or clues regarding the current stories that they are participating in. When two players take actions that conflict, it is resolved through non-physical means (a deck of cards and their character sheets). This is not the "foam weapon" style sometimes seen, but rather a story- and character-oriented event.
You are not confined to having you character match your physical appearance: an 18 year old hipster might play a 62 year old business tycoon, or a 45 year old woman might portray an aging, near death's door werewolf, struggling to keep hold of his status and Renown.
Finally, just in case you might be concerned: this is a form of entertainment. We do not actually think we have shape shifting abilities or celestial gifts any more than an actor playing Peter Pan on stage believes that she can actually fly.
((This is a shared universe with the other Nashville Unveiled games, and has an overarching story based on Werewolf: The Apocalypse, as well as meshed with the ongoing stories from the other games.))
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
