Strategy and Tabletop RPG Night

An evening spent on intense games.  This can include tabletop RPGs (Pathfinder, WoD, Shadowrun . . .) and strategy board games (Axes and Allies, Duel of Ages, Risk . . .).  One-shots, campaigns, and intense board games welcome.

We encourage people to show up early, possibly with a game in mind. From Pathfinder to Fiasco, Exalted to Labyrinth Lord, you'll be able to find other people interested in playing just about anything under the sun.  Feel free to plan games in the comments section here.

Note: Doors open at 5pm with an eye toward play starting by 7pm. We are able to open earlier as we get a feel for this new addition to the regular event schedule. Like every other open NAGA event, this is participatory, so feel free to suggest and put forward ideas.

It's looking like it'll be out east toward Lebenon Pike / the reservoir for my first 6 or so months since it's very near to where I'll be working.

Unfortunately I thought the event was for July 27th, not June. I won't be in Nashville until the middle of July. At this point I'm just trying to start my social networking and see if I can't track down a few of my fellow gamers. :-)

The Game Keep is fantastic, and has been a stalwart part of Nashville gaming forever. The Game Cave is newer, and in your area. There's also a D&D group near you in Lebanon. NAGA is an association of gaming groups rather than one single group (any Nashville gaming event can list on this Meetup): hit NAGACentral.com for more links and a calendar of even more events in the Nashville area. Or feel free to swing by any Cheshire Hall event and I'll welcome you and try to bring you up to date on any events that are going to be posted (we're launching a new website in the next couple weeks).

We live near the airport...have a secure game room.

Nice! What's the city like in that area? My job is going to be just south of it and I'm looking for an apartment in that general area.

Always room for more. Any idea what area of town?

Hi, I'll be moving to Nashville soon and am looking to meet fellow gamers. I don't suppose there's room for new people to the area?

I know zero about soccer beyond the zzzzzzz.

Fortunately you don't need to know anything about soccer and the game is actually interesting and fun.

    Emily will come as well.

I'll be there. Deb's attendance will depend on work. I'll bring a couple of shorter games (Splendor and Parade) that we got at the con we were at this past weekend. Those will make good openers or closers. I'll also plan to be ready to teach Steam. I'm guessing Sarah is in since she's been asking recently.

I played two one-lap races of Das Motorsportspiel on the track we haven't used yet. It has a hairpin turn that is a killer. We'll have to try it soon.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
