I am scheduled to start the second adventure in our LAW campaign.

I don't know what other games are scheduled.

Joe has displayed the resolute firmness of a weathercock in a tornado. He has changed BACK to DBA 3.0. To be fair to Joe, he did it at the request of some gamers. Being fair to Joe? ME?!!! I must be slipping...

Just a thought, today is the 100th anniversary of the starting of WW1.

Tomorrow's wargames do not have any WW1 scenarios planned, just WW2 and Dark Age/Medieval skirmish.

    Change & Addenda

7/29 The WW2 game rules are Command Decision, US vs Germany

8/05 Joe has changed from DBA 3.0 to another episode of his dungeon crawl. He seems to hope to perpetrate a TPK.

    Sarah,
The only reason why I made the post about Saturdays is because earlier someone asked about other days for gaming. That person mentioned a permanent commitment on Tuesdays. I’m am not the official person for Saturdays. I was just trying to let one person know. Sorry if I stepped on anyone’s toes.

    Regards,
    Ed

Hi Ed, No toes were stepped on at all! Meetup is a bit clunky and I just wanted to help make sure the correct info about the games reached the widest audience of gamers.

For those who want more, we have some Saturday Game Days coming up. These will all be at the Belle Meade Office Park, 4525 West End Ave. (across from Belle Meade Plaza and the Krogers). This is the middle of the 3 office buildings. Gaming takes place in the large conference room in the middle of the second floor. Things usually start about noon. The scheduled days are:

    July 26
    August 7
August 23 - scheduled for Bolt Action but some space should be free for other games
    August 30

There may be DBA/HOTT/DBM being played, but I am not sure. Feel free to bring a game, but it shouldn't require much table space on 8/23 since everything other than Bolt Action will be using left-over space. Board games are welcome.

    Regards,
    Ed

Hi Ed, In the past Scott has e-mailed me the specifics and had me post the Saturday game days as distinct events. If this schedule is confirmed, I'd be happy to show you how to add events to the calendar, or add it for you if you'd like.

Note: For previous post, please change August 7 to August 9 for Saturday games at Belle Meade Office Park.

    Thanks,

    New Schedule of Games

July 22: Joe Collins will run his campaign based on D&D clone, Castles & Crusades (I think). There are no other games scheduled as of now.

    July 29: A WW2 game by Eric. I don't know the rules.
2nd game is a Dark Age/Medieval skirmish based on LAW

August 5: DBA 3.0 by Joe Collins.
2nd game is Command Decision (WW2 - Greece)

August 12: Cleeburg Campaign - LAW (Swords and Sorcery)
2md game is Volley & Bayonet

    August 19: WW1

Note that Wings of War is in hiatus until the member who runs it has Tuesday nights off again.

The LAW campaign game tonight seemed to go well.
There was a WW2 game which also went well.

The game for 7/15 has been changed because the planned ref cannot make it. We have two new games.

Joe will be running a DBA 3.0 Hundred Years War game.

I'm offering a simple skirmish game based on LAW changing movement from a hex-based system to an inch-based system. Bringing 3-4 d6 and a tape measure might prove helpful but is not required.
No experience in either system is required.

    Regards,
    Ed

The game for 7/15 has changed from the Cowboy game to Steve Jackson's Ogre, probably using the new, mongo boxed set.

There have been some changes in the schedule, as shown below.

7/1 Wings of War 1918. Second game will be a fantasy dark age or medieval skirmish game based on the LAW rules. Each player will get a leader and 2-3 followers. Familiarity with the rules would be a plus.

7/8 Campaign continued Rules: Legends of the Ancient World (LAW). Second game ???

7/15 Cowboy Skirmish game, rules unknown.

    Second game ???

This Tuesday had the intro to the LAW campaign, Cleeburg. There was a WW2 game with players absorbed at a table with great scenery, models, and figures. There was also a board game at another table. The venue offered 5 tables.

Current Schedule for Tuesday nights at the Game Keep.

6/24 Campaign Intro Scenario Rules: Legends of the Ancient World (LAW) The rules are free and can be downloaded from: http://darkcitygames.com/docs/Legends.pdf
The home page for Dark City Games is: http://darkcitygames.com/
    This scenario supports 4-6 players.
LAW is the legacy of the old Melee and Wizardry rules from Metagames. It would be useful to bring a pencil, some paper, and 3d6. We can provide for those who forget. Characters will be provided to save time.

6/24 Command Decision - Test of Battle US vs Germany, WW2

    7/1 Wings of War 1918

7/8 Cowboy Skirmish game, rule set unknown.

7/15 Campaign continued Rules: Legends of the Ancient World (LAW). Note that tonight's Volley & Bayonet game saw a victory by the French over the Austrians. Regards,
    Ed

Evan, you are correct and I should have mentioned where on the page the rules are. I posted a link to that page so that people could see the other downloads and the forums. Thanks for the clarifications. I apologize for any confusion.

As a note that might be helpful to others: when I downloaded the rules for Legends of the Ancient World last week, I was going to the Ancient World menu and couldn't find the rules under that section. They are actually linked from the left menu at the bottom, under the abbreviated title of "Legends (PDF)." A direct link to the rules (as a PDF) is: http://darkcitygames....

When I looked at the board, the only thing showing was a Volley & Bayonet miniatures game. I didn't go last week so I don't know what else might be on tap. Usually there are two games planned for Tuesday nights.

Next week a role-playing type game is planned using the LAW rules. Miniatures and terrain will be used.

So is tomorrow only a miniatures night?
