Strategy and Tabletop RPG Night

An evening spent on intense games.  This can include tabletop RPGs (Pathfinder, WoD, Shadowrun . . .) and strategy board games (Axes and Allies, Duel of Ages, Risk . . .).  One-shots, campaigns, and intense board games welcome.

We encourage people to show up early, possibly with a game in mind. From Pathfinder to Fiasco, Exalted to Labyrinth Lord, you'll be able to find other people interested in playing just about anything under the sun.  Feel free to plan games in the comments section here.

Note: Doors open at 5pm with an eye toward play starting by 7pm. We are able to open earlier as we get a feel for this new addition to the regular event schedule. Like every other open NAGA event, this is participatory, so feel free to suggest and put forward ideas.

Just realized it's Friday; I'll head that way here in the soon, but will obviously be a bit late.

That ended up involving more pants than I was willing to put on. And showering. But soon!

Hey, Team NAGA! The Target over on White Bridge Road has Settlers of Catan Star Trek on Clearance for $25. That is a fantastic deal. They also have a host of other games on sale for clearance prices. Check it out on your way to game night!!!

Unless Evan's Generala shows up, I am hopping to hurt my brain on Deduce or Die.
My best description for it is a competitive logic puzzle. It plays 3-6.

I am going to bring Marvel Super Heroes, since it has come up a few times in conversation. MSH has you controlling one of four iconic Marvel teams and taking on various issues all over the city. The person sitting to your left will control your team's supervillain as well, making for some interesting situations. This one is complex and clocks in around 2 hours, but makes sense after a few turns. Caps at 4 players.

I will also bring Ad Astra for folks that missed it a couple of weeks back, caps at 5 players. Think Settlers of Catan in space and you've got it. Two fantastic games from a now-dormant Italian publisher, should be a good night.

I don't want to miss out like I did last night, so coming from 440, where do I go?

Head north on 21st (toward downtown) a half mile, and then turn left just after Friedman's Army Navy Surplus onto Bernard Ave. The sixth house has a red door with a sign welcoming you. Parking is available on the street, or in the lot across the street. Feel free to give me a call if you get lost: (814)[masked] or Sarah at (814) 404-0008. We look forward to seeing you!

I'm still waiting on GENERALA's new release; I'll be running a very classic, old school dungeon crawl as soon as it hits. Beer (or cider) and dice and 10x10 corridors (okay, there are caverns too). The pregens have already been released, and are... less than serious, but fun as heck. Including the hipster Druid, Kevin Bearsnogger: "I was protecting these woods before anyone else had even heard of them." And Baba Yushka, Dwarf Mage: "Have apple. Is good. No poison."
