I just wanted to follow-up on our meeting the other evening, especially for those who weren't there. Tammy shared with us that her father, Bernie, has been diagnosed with an amoloid. (She is not sure of the spelling.) They have been told he has approx. 6 months to a year to live. This will be a tough journey, so please keep Tammy and her family in thought and prayer, especially since you guys are great at being supportive of our fellow "family" members.

Janet, thank you and I am sorry I never have answered a email you sent to me a good while back on Cushing's. I am slow at doing everything!!! I am in extreme pain besides being ill and the depression of course!!!! I detoxed off Fentanyl this winter and after 10 years am not on any pain meds at this time. I have nerve, bone and muscle disease among the other diseases. It's all I can do to get through each day at present. I am allergic to the non-narcotic meds we have tried.....so am suffering big time while my docs and I are doing more tests and trying to figure things out. I hated the narcotics sooooo bad but being off isn't working either. Right now I have doc/tests or hospital appts every day and it's all I can do to drag myself to the appts. I am struggling to even get around the corner to the store and driving is tough! I appreciate you replying to me. I am pushing, but I just can't make it right now. I hope that changes soon!

Connie, You and I sound very similar in several ways. I bet you would feel lifted just pushing yourself to come :)

I want to come and have been trying to for quite sometime. I suffer severe depression but I have chronic severe multiple types of pain and other diseases and it has made it very difficult for me to make it to a meeting. I will make it one day and I hope it will be sooner than later!

Janet, it is not the CSU. This is a new program that is part of the NDUTIME youth and family services. The crisis stabilization house is located on Chamberlyne rd. near three lakes park. I think you can visit me tomorrow or Sunday. I can receive and make personal calls only between the hours of 7-9pm each night at 761-6227. Ask for Dorothy Walsh or simply ms. Walsh as most people here call me.

Hi Terri, I join you in not doing very well. I have had an extremely rough past several weeks related to me finally getting around to trying to face my impending divorce . . . I simply didn't anticipate that the feelings would hit me so hard & floor me like they have . . Will be at the mtg., though, tomorrow night & hopefully that'll help . .

Janet, I am not doing well today and really don't feel up to visitors. I hope you can understand.

Terri... There is nothing to be ashamed of. All of us go through things as we live with our disorders. This is why we have the group in order to support each other. I'm glad you reached out to let us know.

We are here for you. Let me know if there is anything I can personally do for you. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Please keep us posted. Hang in there.
