Earth Day Photo Walk at Reflections Lake, Palmer Hay Flats

Come celebrate Earth Day with the NANPA Nature Photography Group of Southcentral Alaska. We will have a photo walk at Reflections Lake, located in Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge. For maps of the exit and location, visit  www.palmerhayflats.org/trails-maps.html. There is a nice one mile loop around the lake and hopefully we will see many shorebirds and waterfowl.

Had to change my RSVP (mom left town unexpectedly and I have to take care of my dad). ARGH!! Not that I don't want to care for him just that I wanted to come to the excursion.

Would love to join the group but the dang slope job keeps getting in the way. Maybe next time.

Okay. I'll be in a copper/rust colored jeep wrangler. I have a good idea where we are going, but I've never been there.

I might be slightly behind... anyone wanna share a cell number with me in case you are already out and about?

Aaaand... I'll also already have my[masked]mm with me from a soccer game. Is the waterfowl plentiful enough that it's worth lugging that ridiculous thing along on the trail?

No idea of how many birds, or what kind. Planning on toting my 500 mm f/4.0. Feel free to call me at[masked] if you want updates.
