Come create some photos of flowing water and water birds

On October 25 let's meet in Reid Park and take some images of the flowing water and the water birds. The ducks should be back to show-off for our cameras.

We can spend some time using different exposure times on the creek (small waterfalls). If birds are around those make for great images. The zoo opens at 9am so we could go see the baby elephant. For those interested in flowers the rose garden is just down the hill.

This will be good chance to meet other members and ask questions on technique. Hope to see several of you there.

Everything worked well. Some birds were back. Waterfall and roses were fine.

I had a really great time! Took some really good pictures. Thanks to the gang and for helping with lighting and IS tips. Did you know people make a great shade when we needed some shade on a rose as the sun was too much and blowing out the roses and background? I look forward to going on another trip!

When you are at the entrance to the zoo and you look to the right - the pond is across that road. It is just a short walk and if you want I can show you after we do the zoo pictures. There is a second entrance just past the one JP talked about below.

Is the big pond by the zoo entrance?

Take 22nd street entrance across from McDonalds or by the family statues. Go straight in. Zoo and swimming center on the right and pond on the left about 20 yards apart.

The lake across the street from the zoo has great opportunities. Sweetwater Wetlands is a good place also.
