Hello Cycling Enthusiast!  I rode the 43 last year and loved it!!! Such a beautiful countryside ride- just amazing! Here are 2013 details:
Kiwanis Bike Ride For Children
Event Date: 8/24/2013 Number of Days: 1
Location: Winchester Community Facility
Info & Registration: http://springhillkiwanis.com/public/index.aspx

Description: Join us for the fifth annual Kiwanis of Spring Hill Cycling for Children Charity Bike Ride on Saturday, August 24. The routes are through some of the most scenic terrains around Spring Hill and in Maury County. Registration begins at 6:00 AM, with the ride starting at 7:00 AM.

The $40 fee includes a tee shirt, goodie bag, breakfast, well-stocked rest stops with friendly people, SAG support, post-ride stretching by chiropractic staff, cool give aways, and lunch.

A 25, 43, or 62-mile route is available for beginner or experienced riders. Help us fund three organizations that support children. This will be the fifth year of the ride and it will be better than ever. The Harpeth Bike Club members who rode last year raved about the ride and planned to return this year. It would be nice to meet every one on the next ride. And, perhaps we could ride part of the way together.

I agree! Next time we'll designate a place to meet before the ride. I have already started training for the 43 next year-

Hello cyclist! I updated info on this ride- I don't know where I got that there was a 20 mile??? The correct mileage is 25, 43, 62-
You can go to "Map My Ride" and plug in the info to get the information on incline -- Last year there there was information on the terrain upgrades and inclines, but I couldn't find it today- maybe just didn't look long enough. It's a very well organized ride with rest stops stocked with yummy goodies- and cold beverages. It's a great event!

I believe there were about 120 riders last year. However, this year another event is taking place in Murfreesboro, so the turnout may be lower.

I'm an out of shape rider. How hilly is the 20 mile course?

They have enough rest stops and terrain out that way is flatter than other counties - so should be OK.

Hello Gang! I rode part of the course a few Sat's ago- It started getting cloudy so I thought I'd better head for home. I was just about to turn around when I recognized the name of a road- so I turned there and ended up with a round trip of 12 miles. Soooo... that means that those of you who want to ride but were worried about the distance- I FOUND A SHORTCUT! If you like to ride country roads-this is your ride! I think 4 cars passed me- Just beautiful Tennessee country side which is amazing! So, go sign up and let's ride- It's for a good cause! Registration ends 8/22 Here's that link again- http://www.eventbrite.com/event/6735278399
