Experience Seattle’s Real History
Experience the Northwest’s tribal culture with our Tillicum Village Sightseeing Tour Cruise and Native American Salmon Bake and Performance. Cruise to historic Blake Island — legendary birthplace of Chief Seattle. On arrival you’ll be greeted with steamed clams in savory nectar. Inside our cedar longhouse, watch salmon being carefully prepared over open fires as it has been for centuries, before you have a chance to taste it for yourself. After your meal, sit back and enjoy our one-of-a-kind stage performance and imagery combining Coast Salish storytelling and live traditional Native American dance.

salmon-bake.jpg

Tillicum Village is proud to be the only experiences of its kind in the Northwest. It’s the only place in the world where you can see these dances and hear these songs, performed by the very dancers whose families have owned them for generations. We’re also proud to feature local native storyteller Roger Fernandes of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe.

Whether you live here or are looking for a true Northwest experience, Tillicum Village is a cultural Native American experience you won’t forget.

This 4-hour escape includes:

A live-narrated cruise to Blake Island
Salmon buffet featuring Northwest cuisine
Coast Salish-inspired program featuring storytelling and dances
Exploration time on the island
Return cruise

This was my first experience, and as always, this was a great meetup. The cruise was wonderful. Our tour guide told us stories, and the dinner was great. Thank you Richelle for setting this up.

I'll be at the 512 Park and ride. Where there are we meeting? Inside Mcdonalds or by the benches. Not sure what anyone looks like. I'll be in a white parka type coat. don't want to stand out in the rain. Will be holding a big umbrella.

    April 19, 2014

Have fun guys!! It's a great time and they have made many updates on this presentation since I last saw it many many years ago. Just be prepared to smell like smoked salmon as it permeated my clothes and hair. :-)

Do I need to call Argosy and pay them today?

    March 19, 2014

    • Richelle

No. The message about reservations was for the May trip, not this one.

I completely understand, however, this is the email you sent out: "Just a reminder. I am going to make reservations for anyone that has RSVPed and registered by 3/19/14. After that date, you will need to make your own reservation. If you have RSVPed and have not paid, you will need to make your own reservation" Therefore, I was making sure that you knew I had already paid.

Went to sign up for April 19 on the Groupon and it's not available. If anyone cancels, I'll purchase your ticket. Can't wait until the last minute as I work that day and will have to get coverage. So if in the next month something happens, let me know. Maybe another Groupon will open up for that day.

We we will definitely set up a carpool location as we get closer to the event. Most likely, 512 Park and Ride a couple hours before and maybe an alternate location for those folks that are farther north.

Tillicum Village is on Blake Island State Park. I was a State Park Ranger and Blake Island was one of the Parks I lived and worked on. I ate in the lodge every week. Since I was a Ranger, the Indians let me in the kitchen for free.
Rochelle, may I car pool with you?

This is a great outing and it will be chilly so bundle up butter cup! The food is amazing, the show is fascinating with real dancers integrated with holographic images / dancers. The salmon is to die for!! If you love the smell of smoked salmon, guaranteed your clothes and hair will be infused with the aroma :-D
