GeoFest at Chewacla State Park (02/22 - 02/24)

Several events have been posted on geocaching.com to promote GeoFest in the Park - this year at Chewacla State Park (a few miles south of Auburn).

The State Park has a nice campground and there are several hotels in the area. The park is FULL of caches! You should see the map! A fun weekend, for sure!

The first event is a dinner on Friday evening, gathering at a local shrine of fine dining, re: good Southern Cooking! A CITO event (Cache In Trash Out) is planned for 9:00 AM on Saturday, 2/23, followed by the big event at 10:00.

You can see the pages for the individual events at:

02/22 6:30 PM Dinner - Good Ol' Time at Good Ol' Boys http://coord.info/GC408H7 (Followed by a cache run to find local night caches!)

02/23 9:00 AM - GeoFest CITO: http://coord.info/GC3Y1H9

02/23 10:00 AM - GeoFest In The Parks: http://coord.info/GC3Y1GD Many activities are planned throughout the day.

002/23 5:00 - 6:30 PM - ASPGC Stop #12 - Chewacla: http://coord.info/GC45BVR Dinner at Zaxby's for the twelfth stop on the Alabama State Park Geocaching Challenge (ASPGC).

02/24 9:00 AM - Breakfast in the Park: http://coord.info/GC45FEF Yummy start before heading home!

Check each event for more details.

If more events are posted on geocaching.com, I will add a link here, too.

If it helps any, might I suggest: https://www.facebook.com/GoodOlBoysRestaurant as the gathering spot for Friday night.

I have received the actual invitation to the ordination; think I have plenty of time to make it from Chewacla to Baton Rouge, LA on Sunday! Woo Hoo!

I did have plenty of time. Even had enough time to find my 5,000 in Baton Rouge before the ceremony!

A little late, but yep. Been there, done that, sat across from you. :) Sorry I didn't see your post until a week after it was posted - yikes!

Good to see all my friends in the NASTY cachers group at the event. Even if Bobby was stalking us all day. ;P

If I'm not mistaken, it was the other way around. As I approached or stood near GZ (not over, because I always step away from GZ), up would walk NNY and his buds :)

Many corresponding events - lots of fun people - nice to spend time with good friends - met some cachers to add to my list of friends!
