Lewes Marathon

Marathon No. 3 - Saturday, 5th April 2014

An energetic walk over the South Downs with
great views, 4 hills and a ridge.

This is an engergetic walk (550m; 1,600 feet of ascent) over open downland - so good views. The route loops around the River Ouse, going over 4 distinct hills/ridges on the way, and from the top of each, the entire route can be seen. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST WALKS IN THE SOUTH.

Level: Intermediate - Medium to fast pace (8/10)

Length: 26.0 miles (41.8km)

Duration: 10hrs

Start/End: Lewes Station (BN7 2UP)

Walks & Mileage Chart:

Lunch: Packed Lunch

Meeting Time: 6.15am.

Meet: on the Ground floor, concourse level
(near Marks & Spencer leading to platforms 8-16)

Train from London Bridge at 06.42 and arrives in Lewis at 07.48.

Return from Lewis to London Bridge at 19.25

Cost: £22.50 per person - based on 4 adults sharing, on a "First Come First Share" basis. (Return rail travel, NBH costs and organiser's fee). 
Individual train tickets are charged at full price, plus £7.50 (NBH cost and organisers fee).


NOTE: Please remember to change your RSVP if you are no longer able to make the event. No shows are recorded and may affect your RSVP status for future events. After three “no shows” you may be moved to the waiting list for events that are full.
