Donna & I are avid hikers, having lived in AZ, CO, & hiking elsewhere on Vacations. The FMST gives us opportunity to build a heritage of trails that are easily reached from our home & Organizing this Meetup Group is a priviledge to spread the word.

Thank you for the Welcome! My son & I visit family in Greensboro NC often & love to get outdoors in the area while we are visiting! When I read your greeting it made me smile b/c my son (Nason) has decided that he wants to start working towards backpacking & eventually backpack all the way to Grandmas house in NC from ours in Chatt. TN. The idea you posted in the greeting is right up his alley, can't wait to sit down & look through that with him. :-) Wishing you and your family a Happy Holiday!

Hi Will & Donna, Welcome. You seem like a very active couple. The most we do is walk on the tobacco trail at the weekends. I will add an intro about us. Still work full time, and have been busy. Hope to see you both at the Duke gdns on the 4th June.

Hi Will & Donna, Thanks for joining the group. You can see we are just getting started. Not sure there is a "bargain basement" for local farm food. The CSA programs offer the best deals because you make a commitment to help the farmers and they lower their prices as a result. I'm afraid that all of us are going to see some significant increases even at the market because fuel and feed prices have increased substantially in the past 3 years for the farms. Susan
