Gully Creek Adopt-A-Trail Service Outing

  • Aug 9, 2014 · 8:00 AM

With a 90%  chance of rain, I am going to postpone this trail maintenance day.

This will be our second trail maintenance of the year.  We will pick up litter along the length of the trail, clear water bars, and trim as necessary.  While we will be working Gully Creek is a great place to be on a hot summer day! We will meet  and car pool to the Cumberland Knob Recreation Area of the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Gully Creek Trail head.  You will need to bring  work gloves, hiking footwear, water, lunch, and rain gear.  I would expect to be back in town by 3:30pm.  To participate you must contact Henry Fansler at [masked] or [masked], or Chris Halt at (336)[masked] or [masked], and complete a FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway volunteer form.

Hi Henry, shuyan here. I am afraid of that I would not make it on the 9th. I got a email from JARRS which I am waiting for. Unfortunately their day schedule is the same as the trail day. I wish you all have a safe trip. See you next time.
