Movie Night--"Chasing Ice": August Monthly Program Meeting

We will be showing "Chasing Ice", the award winning documentary on climate change at our August monthly program meeting on Thursday August 14th at 7pm at the South Branch of the Durham Library.

Please come and bring some friends and neighbors. Popcorn and refreshments will be served!

We are showing this movie to build support for the People's Climate March in NYC on September 21st.  Click here for more info about the march. We hope to provide information about transportation to the rally in the coming weeks. Save the date/weekend if you want to trek up to NYC w/us and march in support against climate change!  We will have a separate Meetup event for the march.

About the movie:  Follow National Geographic photographer James Balog across the Arctic as he deploys time-lapse cameras designed for one purpose: to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers. Movie runs 75 minutes.

So sorry, work committments have run late and I am not close enough today to get over there in time. Hope I can see the film sometime in the future, sure it will be well done and informative.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
