“Oil and Money: From Peak Oil to Peak Debt?”

We all know oil and water don’t mix, but guess what? Oil and money – especially speculative finance-- are practically inseparable. A public politics of energy in the age of climate change means bringing public scrutiny to oil company tricks! Let’s bring it! – $5 suggested donations, no one turned away. Discussion led by Sandy Smith-Nonini, Anthropology Dept., UNC.

Also, we’ll kick off the new EcoLounge Café at this event, so come early at 6 pm for light dinner fare and drinks – and meet Steve and Tevin, who will be serving food and drinks at future events, and developing a café & music scene at Recyclique in 2014.
