Meet Kabui, a charming urban gardener and food activist who is touring 20 states in a quest to build aquaponics on a farm in his native Kenya. For most Africans who come to the US and are fortunate enough to get advanced degrees, working the land is considered as shooting oneself on the foot. That is exactly what chef Kabui did. He is embarking on a twenty state tour speaking about the food system as seen from the eyes of an anthropologist, born in Kenya, educated in the US and now working as a chef, urban gardener and food activist.
