Backyard Chickens Workshop

This presentation, by Bob Davis, will emphasize how keeping backyard chickens is both feasible and desirable. Chickens produce eggs, are wonderful pets, and provide an earth connection for their owners. New rules for chickens in Durham and details of care will be covered, including sources of birds, housing, feeding, and health.

Bob, who has worked in science education, pharmaceutical research, and field biology, first kept chickens 50 years ago. He feels that a flock of backyard chickens is a wonderful vector that enhances a vital connection with the only planet we have.

Suggested donations $5-10.
