Impact of Natural Gas Fracking on Timing of Peak Oil

We've all seen the ads sponsored by the energy companies assuring us the US has enough natural gas for a hundred years. So are we out of the woods? Or is the embrace of hydrofracking endangering our water supplies and environment for just a few years respite? Join us for a slide presentation and discussion led by Dr. John Mattox, of Fayetteville State University, that will put the new natural gas discoveries into a larger perspective about fossil fuels supplies and the future. Q&A/Discussion to follow.

As always, come early or stay late and check out the Recyclique co-op shop, which helps fund the CommunEcos enviro-ed projects. We feature local upcycled products and creative re-use; plus vintage, eclectic thrift, sustainability books and products, and we make and paint upcycled rain barrels.

We're open from 3-6 pm Thur and Fri, and from 10-5 pm Saturdays.

Join us Sat. Oct. 6th at 2-4 pm for a make-your-own rain barrel workshop where participants get a $20 discount on barrel purchase. Email [masked] for more info and to reserve your spot.
