4th Annual NCTech4Good Conference

Please login to the NCTech4Good website and register there.

This conference is designed to serve nonprofit professionals, volunteers and consultants, as well as small business owners. The conference focuses on technologies in areas such as fundraising, social media, and communication and advocacy tools, offering both pre-selected presentations and workshops, and spontaneous sessions created by participants.

The conference includes morning and afternoon presentations, some selected by early online voting and some determined during the first Conference session. Select sessions you want to attend before coming to the conference, but keep your mind open to last-minute offerings. The keynote will be given by Amy Sample Ward. Also included are a buffet luncheon and a concluding wine & cheese reception, during which a number of door prizes will be awarded. (Note: Sponsors and conference organizers are exempt from prizes.) The cost of the Conference is $75 through May 31; $125 after.

How conference sessions will be determined:

  • Have a session idea? Login and submit a session proposal now through February 28, 2013.
  • Folks can vote for sessions they’d like to attend from March 1 - March 15.
  • The preselected portion of the program will be confirmed by April 1 and it will be available online.
  • During the opening session, additional pitches will be taken for the Design-Your-Own session spots. Participants will vote and room assignments will be made for the selected sessions.

Lots of informative sessions, particularly liked the ones on Responsive Design and Storytelling.

Thank you MR Smith!!! I moved the info about registering on from the last line to the first line of the description, for both the conference and the workship. I hope that will help.

Hoping to be back on Friday after orientation at UNC-W for daughter. The wording for this meetup entry gives the impression that the conference is full. Perhaps a one-liner such as "conference registration is still open" while that is true is worthwhile here?
