Online tools for engaging volunteer support

  • Jun 20, 2012 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us Wednesday, June 20, at UNC Center for Public Television for discussion of online tools for engaging volunteer support led by Trevor Little, co-founder of Benefacting. Benefacting is the first and only tool that inspires volunteering by putting control of the activity and outcome completely in the user’s hands, and all while raising money for his or her charity of choice. Rather than volunteering for activities that may not align with an individual’s aptitudes or schedule, the website helps people support charities by doing things they want to do, when they want to do them.

Directions to UNC-TV,

Pizza (sponsored by NTEN & PINInc/RTPNet) and discussion starting at 6:30, program at 7:00.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The presentation was good but the subject matter was not what I expected based on the title.

VERY interesting! is like a giant silent auction -- people volunteer goods and services in exchange for donations to charity. Tremendous potential. Good description of what it is and how it works at Many thanks to Trevor for presenting on very short notice on this exciting new, original service. Now, let's each of us think about services or goods we could offer to support our favorite Benefacting nonprofit.

Joe, I am so sorry!!! We watched the door for a while but forgot to check it once the meeting got going. For future meetings, I'll post a cell phone number to call. You were probably in the right place. The meeting room is just inside the front door.

I showed up at UNC-TV, but couldn't find an open door- in front or back. Did I miss something?
