My personal beliefs and values reflect those of your group. I look forward to stimulating, challenging and thought provoking discussions which will further broaden my world view.
I have never forgotten that while at the University of Utah, studying the history of religion, I wrote a paper for my Mormon professor detailing how through the ages religions have always tried to answer questions for which there were no answers. As humans evolved and learned more about the natural world, the number of gods decreased in direct proportion to the new knowledge. I also described the use of religion to control the masses. Even as I get older, I have yet to feel the fear that drives so many into religion. By the way, the professor gave me an A!
I grew up in Ketchum, Idaho, enjoying the natural world. Graduated from U of Utah in 1968 with a degree in Soc. Psychology. Worked as a Vista Volunteer for two years as a community organizer, which altered my political and social views forever.
