Lanham Lake Snowshoe and Hot Coco

Lanham Lake Snowshoe

Well the winter is full on and the Holiday season is wearing down on everyone’s wallet.
So take a break and burn off some calories with a relaxing snowshoe up to the scenic Lanham Lake. This Lake is one out of hundreds of scenic lakes within our Cascade range.
Located off the Steven pass highway are many of these lakes scattered out across the range.
Lanham lake is a rather easy hike (if you’re a hiker) or (Moderate if it’s been a while), 3.2 miles round trip with 1100 feet of elevation gain.
We will do Lanham Lake then come down have a lunch some place to be dicussed as we frolick in the snow.
This lake is high attitude and the snow will be deep so the snowshoes are mandatory for this trip.
We’ll meet at the Everett train depot northwest parking area. then carpool out to the trail head. Trail head parking requires a yearly national forest pass or a day pass for each vehicle.
Please let the group no if you have one of these and if your willing to drive when you RSVP.

Please Read the following Link on the lake description.

    We had a great time,
Snowed abit on the hike up and found plenty of snow frolic in.
our Snow bunnys did well. We were stopped dead cold do falling in to the tree wells as we searched to stay on path. Tree's were too plentyfull in the area and the wells were deep.
Had a great day with good times and a awesome lunch with friends.
    Thanks Everyone.

Thanks for the hot cocoa and the hike, Eric. Too bad we didn't make it to the lake.

Ok with the lack of interest on Skyline winter campout for the new years I will delete this from Saturdays plan. We will only do lanham and take our time and have fun.
    I'll bring the Hot Coco.
We can then go for lunch somewhere on the way home.

What's the pace of the group? I'm a pretty quick snowshoer.

I was actually planning to snowshoe Lanham on Sunday.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
