Happy New Year And Our One Year Celebration Bon Fire/Pot luck

This is it, the happy new year and our official one year. celebration of our bi-weekly bon fire pot luck.

I posted my first bon fire on Jan 11 of this year which was 25 bone fire’s ago.

So come on everyone, lets celebrate the 27th fire of the year, If you’ve never made it down to the event please try and make this one.

Get Up and Get Out, Rain Snow or Sunshine, ( I wish for fresh beach snow).

I’ve met Hundred’s of new friends by doing this event, enjoyed every fire and of course all the wonderful foods. I Sincerely thank everyone for this being courteous and friendly and attending my meet ups.

We’ve had lots fun times chatting out many conversations around these fires and meals.

So lets continue our fun and get in another good year.

I can’t predict our weather two weeks out, however we’ve have had 25 perfect Pot lucks and only one rainy one with nice and warm rain.

Lets not have the usual burgers/hotdog meal, let’s Celebrate with some different stuff.

We need lots of hot fancy dish’s, Seafood’s, Meatloaf, Pasta Primavera,/Pasta, I personally don’t cook so open your minds and bring something that everyone will love.

Meats, let’s cook some steak, pork, chicken wings, a little bit of everything would be nice.

Costco is our friend lets all get creative spend a few more bucks for this meal.

With all that said above, here is my normal write up for this event, It’s really hard to write these things out there’s just to much stuff to say in little time.

Come and Enjoy an evening of warmth!

Bonfire for warmth and food to settle our hunger.

Christmas is over and our group is shrinking. It is what it is... more warmth for us. Here comes more rain, so be prepared.

The beach will slowly start to change and we’ll see less and less people roaming the beach. Our favorite logs will come and go as the winter sets in.

I’m making this it to be a floating event, meaning large storm fronts that fall within our schedule could move the event one or two days around the storm.

Do realize that only wind and large amounts of rain will move the event. I like a little sprinkle every once in a while.

With the temps dropping the bonfire starts to feel warm.

So gather up the family and come down and enjoy an evening of fun and friendship.

Kids highly enjoy it and they seem to eat a lot and have great fun.

Mukilteo water front park is slowing down. The lack of sun will make the beach less active giving more solitude.

Bonfire after bonfire were attracting more and more people, pulling them out of the house and stuffing their faces then hurtling them up by the fire.

Yet I have never heard of any complaints, well ok just one.

So come down and enjoy our 26th bonfire of the season, enjoy some great tasting food and meet some new friends.

Our sun is going to bed earlier and earlier, darkness is setting in and the bonfire feels better and better. The ferry lights are now giving us the twinkle that we all love and our friendly sea lions are out and about chasing the salmon.

We last till 10pm that is when the park closes. Strictly Enforced.

I'll bring the firewood and I'll stop off and pick up some stuff to grill.

Everyone come on down and bring some grub and let's get warm by the fire.

Dress warm carry rain gear as a last resort along with flashlights.

Pot luck items-

Everyone should contribute an item in some way, bring something that will be enjoyed.

Grilling stuff

6 green chairs

Gas lantern

Stove for hot drinks

Cups / Plates

Condiments from the last couple fires.

Red ice chest for meat

Blue ice chest for drinks

Meat, of all variety

Cheese, tomatoes, lettuce

Salads of all types

Water, beer, wine, soda.

Apple cider

Fruit platters

I can go on and on so you decide.

Please post what you are bringing so we don’t get 10 bags of chips again.

Remember if your item isn’t eaten it’s not because no one likes it, there’s just plenty to eat.

See ya there. Any questions or if you get lost text me or call.

Ok Ok, I have upgraded to a Smart phone and It’s making me feel smarter already.

So I have learned how to text.

Almost Perfect, we had a great time anyway,
We had a great turn out, lots of people with more than enough food. We had guy show up two bon fires to the north and fueled his fire to big which in turn brought the fire department down and made us put out the fire.
With the burn ban in affect we acually had allot of fire pits active last night.
O well we ate and had a great time. Thanks everyone for supporting the meetup and shareing stories.
See ya at the next one.
PS. I found a small 6volt battery and a cover from someones photo equipment.

When you come to the 3 ways stop where the ferry is, turn left, then the first left. Head towards the water, the firepit is the first one from the right. Bathroom building is to the left. Hope this helps, have a great time. I won't be able to make this one.

First timer. Unlike Eric, I love to cook. Suggestions on what to bring would be a good start. (I am a vegetarian but will make about anything--just do not eat everything, sounds silly, no?) Anyway, I moved here by myself from the Chicago area and would love to meet some new friends. Have 2 special need dogs but a lot of free time as now I only work 40 hours/week verses the 90 I was working in Chicago. Still getting my Pacific NW legs, though as all the activities and outdoorsy stuff is new to a girl from the Midwest. Look forward to meeting this lively group.

Hey Janis glad to have you join our group, Surprise everyone, anything that has a good flavor will be enjoyed. Devil eggs will disappear before your eye's.

    Hi Janis,
Welcome to the northwestt. I have found that vegetarians are some of the best cooks, because they understand the combinations that make great flavors.
