Need to get out more? Want to meet people/friends and stay active? We service the Summit, Portage, Cuyahoga County, and surrounding areas for singles 55 and over. Come join us. This group is for those of us who want to get out of the house and have some fun but don't want to go out alone.

1. As the group continues to grow with new members, we ask that you post a recognizable picture and an accurate first name on your profile within a week of joining, (Last name not required) so we know who you are when you attend a meet-up function.
2. Going forward, our Meet-up Leadership team will be monitoring the attendance list. Members who frequently do not show up at events without changing their RSVP, will be moved to the waitlist or "not going" on upcoming events.
3. ** Events are for socializing and friendship.**
4. Meet-up code of conduct says bullying, harassment, exploitation, and acts of hate undermine community building in safe spaces where people can trust one another. Building real relationships requires us to be more compassionate and kinder towards one another. Meet-up enforces against behaviors that are threatening, intentionally malicious, or personally harmful-physically, emotionally, or mentally. We must keep our members feeling and being safe at our events.
5. If you are blocked or banned, that's it. Members must accept and respect any organizer’s decision to ban a member from a group, or a member's decision to block a member from contacting them. Creating new accounts to circumvent block or ban decisions is prohibited.
New Disclaimer:
Several issues have been brought to our attention resulting in a slight modification of the rules associated with our group.
By signing up to any event, you are unconditionally agreeing to the new disclaimer and terms and conditions for this group.
During the recent activities in the world we request that social distancing be strictly practiced.
The decision of the leadership team is final.
If any member has any issue with another member, within 3 days (72 hours) of the occurrence please, bring it to the attention of an organizer. The issue will be resolved at that level.
Should a member choose to NOT speak with an organizer and go straight to meet up directly, without organizer intervention, that member will immediately be placed on probation and possibly removed from the group.
Any issues are to be handled by the organizers first. If an acceptable resolution is not established then other methods of resolution will be pursued.
In the event an issue is brought up to an organizer the accuser and accused will both be placed on probation. Conduct and behavior for all parties involved with be carefully monitored. The organizers will indicate when probation is completed.
All members are required to treat each other equitably, honestly with respect and exercising courtesy, consideration, and responsiveness.
Inappropriate behavior that might be reasonably perceived as harassing, bullying, belittling, or intimidating or disrupting of the event with LOUD boisterous inappropriate behavior, (yelling, screaming etc.) is not tolerated or acceptable. If this behavior is observed, the member will be asked to leave. If a member refuses to leave, the appropriate authorities may be called and the member be placed on probation or removed from the group.
This includes, members, the leadership team and any guests.
This agreement may change periodically with or without notice.
| E-mail sent out to all members on 6/30/2022 regarding Attendance Policy
Lately we have noticed a trend in Attendance at our recent events. Many of our members are signing up for events and not showing up or signing off at the last minute. This is unacceptable, rude and inconsiderate to other members who would like to attend events and cannot because of people who take up spots then, do not bother to come.
Therefore, if you do not want to be an active member of this group we welcome you do drop out as soon as possible. Because of this trend in Attendance we are adopting the following new policies:
1. We will be taking ATTENDANCE at all the indoor events. (venues need to know how many people to expect for staffing).
2. We will send out one reminder before the upcoming event so you have plenty of time to change your RSVP if needed.
3. Three No Shows and you will be REMOVED from our group. (We understand emergencies arise, please let Organizers know through private message if you are unable to attend). You will not be contacted with any warnings prior to being removed - you will simply be removed after no-show #3.
4. Sign up for an EVENT, ONLY if you intend to come.
5. We suggest you put the events you want to attend with NEO 55 & Over Social Singles Meet up group on your calendars so you do not forget.
