We are a community of atheists, agnostics, and other theistically challenged people residing in the Northeast Ohio area. The goal of this group is to bring local non-believers together in a friendly and comfortable environment where our thoughts can be shared without fear of chiding from ignorant faith-heads.

This group was originally founded as the "Drunken Atheists." It seemed like a good idea at the time, but lately I'm much more interested in just connecting with other local atheist. If you're a drinker, that's just a bonus.

We will still be doing plenty of events at pubs and bars, but I will be adding in a lot of tame activities as well in an effort to appeal to a larger group of atheists. I'm still not an activist, though; so you're not going to see me organizing rallies or anything like that. Anyone interested in activism is welcome to use this as a forum to garner support. I might even go hold a sign somewhere if it's not too hot out.

People of faith are welcome to come to meetups to learn more about atheists and what we don't believe, but proselytizing will absolutely not be tolerated.
