Leisure Brecksville Hike - 3x3 3 Mi. x 3MPH

We will leave promptly at 6:50 so that we finish the hike before sundown.  

Join us for a relaxed pace 3 mile hike by the Brecksville Nature Center/Harriet Keeler Memorial Picnic Pavilion. We will meet in the parking lot Tuesday evening.  Depending upon muddy/slippery conditions - our round trip will be to Station Road Bridge or up to Chippewa Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook.  Starting in the woods due to illumination of trails - ending our hike on all purpose trail. We will hike rain or shine.   Additional event organizers are welcomed to assist with this hike.  No one will be left behind!

Rating:      Easier-Intermediate due to hills, and uneven terrain.

Distance:   3 Miles, Optional mile add-on, for those wanting to increase endurance

Speed:      3 mph, 20 minutes per mile.

Dogs:        Leashed dogs are welcome.

Directions: From I-77 take Exit 149 (SR 82); east on SR 82 past Brecksville Rd. (SR 21) in Brecksville; right on Chippewa Creek Dr. at park entrance; continue past Meadows Dr. to parking area for Brecksville Nature Center, on right.  Covered Pavilion is on your left.

Afterward - 8:15 PM, Creekside Restaurant (Tuesday is discount wine night!); 8803 Brecksville Road (Route 21), Brecksville, OH 44141; (440)[masked]; We will meet in bar area - if bar area is full with the faster hikers (6:30PM group), we have Creekside Management support that they will give us the Party Room, Table in the Dining Room, and/or Outside Patio when it is warmer. From Shirley Harper, Owner of Creekside:  "Each Tuesday we anxiously look forward to "The Hikers" coming in to wine and dine at Creekside.  It has become somewhat of a ritual with our staff!  We value your patronage."

    I missed this one but hiked with the first group which was interesting for my first time! I made it the finish I want to thank Joe for his watchful eye for my friend and I. He may have taken a little off his pace to insure our experience.
