This hike is rated ruggedly moderate to difficult but fun due to terrain and elevation changes. The weather should be great for this due to the fact that most of this area is wooded and at an evening time. Wear a good hiking shoe because of roots and rough ground. The area is currently dry to moist. Recommend water. We will be hiking this at a relatively fast pace at approximately 3 -3.5 mile per hour and moving counter clockwise around the loop starting with the Valley Trail. It will then connect back to Red Lock on the Buckeye Trail moving south. This is a fun area along with interesting climbs and ridges that make for an enjoyable workout. One of my favorite trails in the whole park. Starting this at 6:30 in order to give people in traffic jambs a break. This hike is aprox 6-3/4 miles. About an hour and 50 minutes.
Always remember to prepare well and hike at your own risk
